Cla-Val manufactures several different types of level control valves.  Non-modulating float valves fully when the liquid level in a tank reaches a pre-set low point.  The opening operation allows for the tank to be refilled to a pre-set high point, at which time the valve closes drip-tight.

Modulating float valves maintain a constant liquid level in a storage tank by compensating for variations in supply or demand and are used to control the flow into or out of a tank by either opening or closing on a rising level.

Cla-Val Altitude Control Valves regulates the high water level in reservoirs without the need for floats or other devices.  These non-throttling valves remain fully open until the pre-set shut-off point is reached.  Altitude valves can be configured for one-way or two-way flow depending on system requirements and can be furnished with auxiliary controls for multiple functions such as pressure sustaining, pressure reduction, rate-of-flow control, solenoid override or other parameters as needed.

PRODUCTS

Cla-Val Models 124-14 and 624-01 Float Valves accurately control the liquid level in tanks as well sustains pressure using a CRL or CRL-60 Pressure Relief Pilot Control to a pre-determined set point. Thess valves are designed to open fully when the liquid level reaches a pre-set low level point and close drip-tight when the level reaches a pre-set high point.

This is a hydraulically operated, diaphragm valve with the pilot control and float mechanism mounted on the cover of the main valve. The float positions the pilot control to close the valve when the float contacts the upper stop. The high and low liquid levels are adjusted by positioning the stop collars on the float rod. The difference between high and low levels can be adjusted to as little as 1″ (25 mm), or to as much as 18″ (450 mm). Level settings can be as much as 11.5 feet (17,526 mm) below the valve. The float mechanism may be located remotely from the main valve.

Cla-Val 124-01 and 624-01 Float Valves are non-modulating valves that accurately controls the liquid level in tanks. These valves are designed to open fully when the liquid level reaches a pre-set low point and close drip-tight when the level reaches a preset high point.

Cla-Val 210-01 and 610-01 Altitude Valves control the high water level in reservoirs without the need for floats or other devices.They are non-throttling valves that remain fully open until the shut-off point is reached. These valves are designed for one-way flow only.

These valves can also be furnished with auxiliary controls to meet the need for multiple functions, such as: pressure sustaining, pressure reduction, rate of flow control, solenoid override, etc.

Typical Applications:

Used on reservoirs where the water is withdrawn through a separate line or through a bypass equipped with a check valve. The valve opens to refill the reservoir when the water lowers below the shut-off level.

The Cla-Val Model 210-01KO Anti-Cavitation Altitude Valve controls the high water level in reservoirs without the need for floats or other devices. It is a non-throttling valve that remains fully open until the shut-off point is reached. This valve is equipped with KO Anti-Cavitation Trim to reduce the potential for damage and noise caused by cavitation and vibration.  The 210-01KO is designed for one-way flow only.
